ABOUT THE HOMEY TOTE
The Homey Tote Bag is the most essential component of the Homey brand. This tote was designed with the ‘hygge aesthetic’ in mind, specifically for the fall. This tote contains all of your seasonal subscription goodies, including:

HOMEY Goodies
HOMEY Booklet
HOMEY Honey
DESIGN PROCESS
There were many ways I could take the direction of this tote to incorporate a little bit of all my designs for homey, however one design must be chosen!
To begin designing this tote, I brought my initial sketches into my favorite app, Procreate.
There, I created eight different concepts, letting my creativity guide the process. From those, I narrowed it down to four main designs.
With those four solid directions, I turned to my design Instagram and posted a poll on my story to gather feedback on which design resonated most with my audience.
Based on the votes, I chose to move forward with the concept featuring a campfire as the central stamp illustration.
Once the main illustration was complete, I created the stamp outlines in Procreate and then image traced them in Adobe Illustrator for a clean, scalable design.
Finally, I exported the file as a PNG, found a suitable mockup template on Envato Elements, and edited the tote presentation in Adobe Photoshop.

How to read the Poll Vote Results
In the “Procreate – Bag Sketches” image, the tote bag designs labeled “FRONT” are numbered 1 through 4.
the “Instagram Story – Poll Vote Results” image, each number corresponds to the bag design shown in the sketch image. Voters selected the number of the design they preferred.
The results showed that the majority favored the “stamp aesthetic,” which ultimately inspired the final tote design.
