FLAT IMAGES - ADOBE INDESIGN - DESIGN PROCESS

This booklet served as the final “big project” in my Homey Subscription Box series. I pulled visual inspiration from Pinterest and carried over the project’s cohesive color palette to maintain a unified aesthetic. All illustrations were hand-drawn using Procreate and Adobe Illustrator, then seamlessly imported into InDesign for final production.

Below is a scroll of 14 images, with each image showcasing a spread of two pages from the booklet. Altogether, the booklet contains 25 pages, designed in Adobe InDesign across 14 8.5x11-inch artboards. When folded, the final product measures 5.5x8.5 inches.

LBB- DESIGN PROCESS

My goal was to create a booklet that balanced informative content with strong illustrative and design elements. I drew heavily from Meik Wiking’s The Little Book of Hygge, which served as my primary secondary source, providing all the insights I needed to shape the content. Below, you will see notes from my LBB depicting the information which will be used in the Homey Booklet.

The design process began with establishing a consistent layout by placing basic shapes across pages to guide structure. I then layered in typography and content, refining the type hierarchy and editing for clarity and alignment. Once the layout and text were finalized, I created custom illustrations.
